Day 4: The Assurance of Faith

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1  (KJV)

Reflection: Faith is more than just believing in God; it’s trusting in His promises and His character, even when the circumstances are bleak. It’s the assurance that what we hope for will come to pass, even when we can’t see it. Just as the priests in Joshua 3, our faith assures us that when we step into the waters of uncertainty, God will make a way.

Illustration: It’s like planting a seed and watering it. You don’t see the growth immediately, but you have faith that the plant will grow because you trust the process.

Prayer: Lord, strengthen our faith, giving us the assurance to trust in Your promises, even when they seem far off. Help us to remain steadfast in our faith, trusting in Your perfect plan. Amen.
