Day 5: Readiness in the Potter’s Hands
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
2 Timothy 2:21 (KJV)
Reflection: As the clay in the potter’s hands, we’re made ready. Ready for use, ready for purpose. And this is the thing, God’s plan includes us, imperfections and all. He uses us, just as we are, for His glory.
Illustration: Think of a ceramic cup. It’s been through the fire, the kiln, the high temperatures, and yet, it comes out useful, ready to serve its purpose. Similarly, our trials refine us, preparing us for God’s use.
Prayer: Lord, help us to be ready, to be vessels of honor. Guide us, mold us, make us useful for Your kingdom. Amen.
