Day 1: In the Hands of the Potter
But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Isaiah 64:8 (KJV)
Reflection: It’s truly amazing to realize that we, like clay, are the work of God’s hands. He’s our potter, forming and molding us with such incredible care, and it’s His divine hands that shape our life’s journey. This thought fills me with awe, knowing that the very Creator of the universe is interested in our individual lives. His hands are patiently working on us, skillfully shaping us into His perfect design.
Illustration: Picture this – an artist with a block of marble, crafting a beautiful statue from something so raw and unshaped. The artist sees what lies beneath, the beauty hidden within, and through careful, deliberate work, reveals this to the world. That’s God, our master artist, patiently working on us, revealing the beauty within.
Prayer: Dear Lord, we’re so grateful that You are our Potter, ever patient, shaping us according to Your will. Teach us to yield, Lord, to Your gentle touch, and trust Your wonderful design. Amen.
