Day 1: Anchored by God’s Promises
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
Reflect: The promise in Romans 8:28 assures us that no matter what we are going through, God is working everything for our good. This promise is not contingent on our circumstances, but rather on God’s faithful character. Reflect on how this promise has manifested in your life. How have trials and tribulations turned out for your good?
Illustration: Consider the story of Joseph. Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully accused and imprisoned—his life was a series of hardships. Yet, these trials prepared him to become the second in command in Egypt and save many lives, including his own family. God truly worked out all things for his good.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unwavering promises. Help me to remember that no matter what I face, You are working things out for my good. Amen.
