Day 3: The Art of Holy Living Part 1

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Romans 12:9 (KJV)

Reflection: The Bible is clear—our love should be genuine, not counterfeit. It’s not enough to just “talk the talk”; our actions should demonstrate love. Moreover, this verse tells us to abhor evil and cling to what is good. We can’t straddle the fence between right and wrong; we need to make a clear choice.

Illustration: Imagine you have a magnet. It’s attracted to metal and repelled by non-metallic objects. Be like that magnet for God—drawn to the good and repelled by evil.

Prayer: Lord, help me to love genuinely, despise evil, and be attracted to what is good and righteous. Guide my actions and decisions. Amen.
