Day 4: Reverence in His Immovable Kingdom
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Hebrews 12:28 (KJV)
Reflection: This verse reminds us of the unshakeable kingdom we’ve been graciously brought into. It’s a kingdom that stands firm, never to be moved. With such a reminder, it challenges us to serve God with grace, reverence, and awe, reflecting the immovable nature of His kingdom in our service.
Illustration: Consider a king’s loyal servant. The servant doesn’t serve out of fear or obligation, but out of respect for the king and love for the kingdom. In the same way, let’s serve God with reverence, reflecting the immovable nature of His kingdom in our actions.
Prayer: Father, we thank you for the unshakeable kingdom we are part of. Help us to serve You with reverence, reflecting the steadfast nature of Your kingdom in our actions. May our service bring glory to Your name, O Lord. Amen.
