Day 4: Renewing Our Strength
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
Reflection: This powerful verse emphasizes that our endurance comes from waiting upon the Lord. When we put our faith and hope in God, we find renewed strength to face life’s battles. It’s a reminder that even when we feel at our weakest, God’s strength can pull us through.
Illustration: Picture a long-distance runner who feels like they can’t go any further. Just when they’re about to give up, they tap into a reserve of energy they didn’t know they had. That’s what waiting on the Lord can do for our spirits.
Prayer: Lord, renew my strength when I am weary. May I always find comfort and perseverance by putting my trust in you. Amen.
