Day 2: Love Doesn’t Discriminate
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (KJV)
Reflection: The word “whosoever” is powerful. God’s love is for everyone; it doesn’t discriminate based on background, status, or past mistakes. We’re all included in that “whosoever,” which underscores the universality of God’s initiatory love.
Illustration: Imagine a community potluck where everyone is welcome. No one is turned away, and all can partake. This is akin to God’s all-encompassing love available through Christ.
Prayer: Father, I’m so grateful that your love extends to everyone, including me. May I be a vessel of your inclusive love and reach out to “whosoever” crosses my path. Amen.
