Day 2: Courage Comes from God
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
Reflection: This verse assures us that our courage doesn’t come from our own abilities but from God’s presence in our lives. It’s a liberating realization that we don’t have to rely solely on our own strength. We can tap into an eternal source of courage and strength, just like Adino did.
Illustration: Think about a time you had to speak in public, maybe sharing a testimony or giving a presentation. It’s nerve-wracking, but knowing God is with you can bring a sense of peace and courage you didn’t know you had.
Prayer: Lord, help me remember that true courage comes from you. When I am faced with challenges, remind me to seek your presence. Amen.
