Day 1: The Word Became Flesh – Hope In The Manger
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.John 1:14 (KJV)
Reflection: In this verse, the miracle of Christ’s incarnation is beautifully encapsulated. God, in His infinite wisdom, chose to send His Son to become fully human while remaining fully divine. This act of love bridges the gap between humanity and the divine, offering us a tangible connection to God Himself.
Illustration: Think of a bridge spanning a vast chasm. Without it, we are separated, unable to reach the other side. Christ’s coming is that bridge, connecting us to God, bringing us closer to His love and salvation.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son to dwell among us. Help us to always remember and appreciate the profound mystery and love that His incarnation represents. May we walk closer with You, guided by Your Word made flesh. Amen.
