Day 1: The God Who Loves
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (KJV)
Reflection: The beauty of John 3:16 lies in its universality; “whosoever believeth” means everyone, no exceptions. This is a love without borders or boundaries. God’s love is proactive, illustrated by the giving of His Son to die for our sins. It’s not a love that waits; it reaches out, taking the initiative to save.
Illustration: Imagine a father running into a burning building to save his child. The father risks everything out of love. Similarly, God sent Jesus into a world ablaze with sin to rescue us.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your immeasurable love that led You to send Your only Son for our salvation. Help us to grasp the depth of this love and share it with those who don’t yet know You. Amen.
