Day 3: Rightly Dividing – The Path to Clarity
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction
2 Peter 3:16 (KJV)
Reflection: Scripture can be complex, and misunderstanding it can lead us astray. Studying the Word with diligence, discernment, and guidance ensures we grasp its true intent. Rightly dividing means seeking wisdom, striving for clarity, and confirming teachings with God’s unchanging Word.
Illustration: Picture assembling a complex puzzle. If one piece is misplaced, the whole picture is off. But with patience and attention to detail, the image becomes clear.
Prayer: Lord, guide me in studying Your Word, that I may rightly divide and understand Your truths. Grant me patience and clarity, keeping me on the right path. Amen.
